My Great day in New York

Thanks to my friend Collin I was able to see one of the great museums of art in the world next to my favorite place Musee D'orsay .he day started out not the best because someone, Collin, told me not to eat breakfast. He said I had to save my hunger for Hala. He was totally right. It was the best rice taziki sauce and gyro I have ever had, and I am a big fan of gyros. Then we spent hours just wandering the museum seeing everything painting and sculpture sometimes laughing and sometimes just starring at the painting taking in the art.

The day got even better. after watching a episode of Kitchen Nightmares about a brick oven pizza place I had an overwhelming craving for pizza and a place called Grimaldi's. After waiting in line outside and then waiting for our pizza I was soo hungry. The pizza was totally worth it.

Company Baseball Game

I have a great internship. I got to go to my first professional baseball game. A Mets game!! When we got there it was beautiful the sun was out and it wasn't too hot and there was food and beer for everyone. Thanks to Linda and Vicha. By the time the game started it was 9 pm and I was already ready to go home. It did get better the more beer Erin bought me. it was a game with fireworks and in the middle of the firework show the music stopped and we could tell there was a technical problem. We all looked at each other and said "It's just like one of our gigs" it was funny we all started laughing. I think that is the only problem with working on events is that you see every problem that happens during an event where as most people don't even notice.

Engadget show

I love trade shows but I never knew how much work it was to put one together from start to finish in one day. I showed up at 8 but people got there at 6am. Furiture was there, party rental was there and after being there for an hour so was the frieght for the rest of the show. The facility was on the bottom floor of the building and to get there you have to go down a flieght of stairs. there was one elevator operated by an old small asian man. the frieght was carried up and down from the street level then put to the appropriate booth. figuring out what booth things went to was hard because they weren't clearly labeled with the booth number or name of vendor. so we had to search thorough the various labels on the boxes to find where they go.

After this there were trips back and forth from best buy to get small parts for the tvs and other small things for exhibitors. as the show started I was selling drink tickets which weren't selling as expected mostly because the whole space was filled a lot of nerds. in addition there wasn't any food I would have much rather had food than drinks. The only food was a asian inspired taco truck outside which was really good. then things started to load out I left around 11 which was find because I was back in soho at 8 the next morning.
